SBT was founded in light of the ongoing predicaments to address basic community needs, support the creation of job opportunities, increase community resilience to the ongoing crises, and promote socio-economic empowerment, stability, and sustainability. We combine research with market expertise to deliver the best results and reach beneficiaries across Lebanon. Our project interventions feed directly into socio-economic development and indirectly into climate change prevention and resilience through emphasizing on the agricultural and food processing and production and promoting the use and reprocessing of available resources such as fabric, wood, lands, composting and rationalize resources use such as ground water, solar power, and energy. Moreover, they incorporate extensive soft skills training sessions such as life skills, conflict sensitivity and do no harm, career development to ensure a mindset and behavioral shift and to help our community establish and achieve goals, decrease inner and outer conflicts, and embrace life as a learning opportunity
